New mining companies breakthrough in Burkina Faso

12 May 2017

NEXUS Gold Corporation to conquer gold from Niangouela and Bouboulou in north-central Burkina Faso Canadian junior company Nexus Gold recently announced the discovery of large-scale gold mineralization on its permits in Burkina Faso. These results include intersections in DD drill holes prefiguring the discovery of a decent deposit reflect the important discovery potential through the country. Back on a success history with

Burkina emine! In 2016, Nexus Gold, which was concentrating all exploration efforts on its Walker Ridge gold project in Nevada, USA, with multiple drill- ready targets, arrives in Burkina Faso. After a series of due diligence, Nexus raises private placements (April and August 2016) set its sight on Bouboulou (38km¬≤) and Niangouela (178 Km¬≤) which it acquires respectively in July and December 2016. From then on, Nexus Gold makes significant strategic changes, engages FronTier Merchant Capital Group (“FronTier”) to provide Investor Relations services to increase Nexus exposure to market, financial institutions and private investors in Canada, the United States, Europe and Australasia. Nexus gold is also changing its profile, moving slightly from explorer to resource developer.¬† Walker Ridge is relegated to second priority, Niangouela and Bouboulou toghether being the flagship project.

NIANGOUELA Permit The Niangouela permit is located on the Boromo greenstone belt, south of the Kalsaka Mine and shares the same Sabc√© Shear Zone with known gold deposits. The property is road accessible and has one major orpaillage The Niangouela permit was explored using soil geochemistry, GRAB sampling (from rocks and artisanal shafts), pitting and trenching, which toghether have identified ¬†a large zone of ‚Äč‚ÄčENE-WSW supported by a primary quartz vein (target of the orpaillage). The area returned values ‚Äč‚Äčup to 34g/t Au in soils, up to 18g/t Au in rock samples and more than 10m@4.85g/t Au in trenches. Samples of the orpaillage pits targeting the quartz vein taken at depth of 46m and 60m returned grades of 2.950g/t Au and 403g/t Au respectively. Another sample composed of a fragment of the quartz vein and fragments of the host rock, with the quatrz showing a cluster of gold titrated 49.8 g/t ¬†Au. Early this year, Nexus gold announced the discovery of – a significant gold mineralization within the shear zone (up to 23.9g/t Au from shared intrusive) – a primary quartz vein (strike length identified over 1000m) – secondary mineralised trend over 500m extension (in length) This discovery, which was made through the results of a shallow RAB (30 meters) ¬†drilling (totaling 802 m) and the collection of samples from the orpaillage shafts, was immediately followed by a first phase of core drilling for 2000m whose results¬† were “very encouraging”, according to Peter Berdusco, President and CEO of Nexus Gold. Nexus Gold ¬†core samples were analysed by fire assay with atomic absorption finish. If sample returned values greater than 10g/t Au the sample was re-analysed by gravimetric fire assay. Samples with identified visible gold were analysed using a metallic screen fire assay. These analytical assays methods ¬†were justified by the company and according to Robb Warren, qualified geologist (Qualified Person, NI 43-101) for the project “The presence of free gold and the results of BLEG and metal screen assays have demonstrated the need to ensure that the maximum quantity of material has been analyzed and the Company will continue to use the appropriate method of analysis in order to obtain the most representative gold content of the samples “. The following table shows the best mineralized intersections obtained during the first phase of core drilling:

The shear zone and the quartz vein that it contains has been explored to date for a length of 200m and a depth of about 150m. BOUBOULOU PERMIT The Bouboulou permit, 38.3km², located on the same greenstone belt was considered as Nexus flagship project before the spectacular discoveries on Niangouela. Bouboulou was explored successively by Boliden (1997 Р1999), Riverstone Resources (2005 Р2011) and Roxgold (2011 Р2012). Exploration work consisted mainly of RAB drilling, trenching, geological mapping, Magnetics surveys (airborne and ground surveys) and Radiometry (airborne). RC drilling and core drilling were also carried out. All of this work has identified three main mineralized trends, each extending over 5 km in length, within which four mineralised zones have been identified: Koala, Rawema, Bouboulou 2 and Pelgtanga. The best results include grades in surface rock samples and trenches ranging from 1.09 to 19.16 g/t Au. The following table summarizes the historical results obtained for the RC and DD:

The Company is currently concentrating its exploration efforts on its two gold projects and has reported on May, 3rd the discovery of new mineralised structures at Niangouela where Phase 2 diamond drilling is ongoing along with trenching over the newest zones. On late April 2017, Nexus Gold also announced that it has received a new work permit for its Bouboulou Gold concession valide for an initial term of three years and can be renewed twice for a total term of nine years. ¬ę¬†With numerous complex mineralized zones, this ensures that the property can be effectively explored, developed and advanced in all areas,¬†¬Ľ said President and CEO, Peter Berdusco. “The new permit now gives us the opportunity to timeline the development of the Bouboulou project to its full potential. In combination with our Niangouela project, this is an important advancement for the company and brings us a step closer to becoming a significant exploration and development company in West Africa,” continued Mr. Berdusco. The company plans to move exploration activities to Bouboulou aiming at continuing drilling throught the rainy season.
